Kiehls Ultra Facial Cleanser!

Currently, and for the last several months i've been obsessed with my skincare. If you haven't already read it, i did a post about a few things i'd learnt about my skin over the years - you can read it here. One thing i mentioned i was buying great skincare. I recently purchased the Kiehls Ultra Facial Cleanser and my god has it been my best skincare decision yet.

I have previously used Kiehls products after attending an event and trying their skincare (read more about that here) and so when i needed some new skincare it was the first place i looked. I had used their oil free cleanser, toner and moisturiser before after being recommended them for my oily skin in store however, they didn't do anything for my oil. What i needed was hydration not oil control. So i set about finding a cleanser that could hydrate me while also removing my make up as i hate using wipes or micellar waters.

My first stop on the Kiehls website was the Ultra Facial Cleanser. I googled and i read reviews and they were all pretty positive so i decided to bite the bullet and splash out the £16.50 for this little beauty. For £16.50 you get 150ml so it's not the cheapest of cleansers.  It has very simple packaging and contains ingredients such as Squalane, Apricot Kernel Oil and Vitamin E. It's PH balanced and i have been searching for a cleanser that wasn't going to mess with the PH balance of my skin too much as this is when i tend to either break out or get dry patches all over my forehead.

As with most cleansers you apply a small amount to a damp face and massage into your skin. After massaging into the skin, rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry. It comes out in a sort of gel feeling formula but you can feel that once you start massaging into your face however, it quickly breaks down and foams up. One thing i love is that this cleanser doesn't foam up that much that it leaves my skin feeling like i've stripped all the moisture but it does give me the feeling that i am being cleaned. It cleansed away all my make up and a lot of the time i don't feel the need for a double cleanse like i normally would. Once rinsed off my face it leaves it feeling clean and soft with no dry patches or flakiness and i can tell my skin is a lot plumper and hydrated than it was before.

After over a month of using, the tube still hasn't gone down too much as a little goes a long way with this product and i feel like my skin looks more dewy and less oily than before. Plus, i've had a lot more comments on how good my skin is looking recently which to me is something i love being complimented on.

My only issue with this is if you leave any residue on your lips and accidentally lick your lips, there is quite a chemical soapy taste to it which stays with you all day. So always make sure you rinse your lips clean too!

I can't wait to see how my skin reacts in another few months of using this product - hopefully a lot of my oiliness will have gone and i will have the best skin i've ever had! I will definitely be repurchasing this cleanser and maybe i will splash out on another product too!

What's your favourite cleanser?
