Lush American Cream Conditioner

I'm such a sucker for a good shampoo and conditioner combo. So much so that i will gladly pick up more even if i do not need it at all. Seriously, it's an addiction. So it was always going to happen when i wandered into Lush Meadowhall on my lunch one day and headed on over to browse the haircare.

I've only ever used the Jason and the Argan Oil shampoo bar from Lush (which FYI, is AMAZING) and so i was in the market to try a conditioner to go with it. There were so many to browse - and to smell obviously - but i was recommended American Cream as my roots are generally greasy and my ends really dry.

It's a double strength conditioner and smells like Strawberry Vanilla Milkshake. To be honest, reading that on the label pretty much sold me on it straight away. Who doesn't want milkshake smelling hair! As it was double strength i decided to use it as a hair mask whenever i had a bath and really give it time to soak in. I was immediately in love with the smell it left on my hair and how clean it left it. My hair was definitely looking smoother and shinier and a lot fluffier than before - yes, fluffier is my technical term.

Once my hair was dry i swished (yep, another technical term) it around a lot to get that milkshake smell wafted around. It was heavenly. My hair felt amazing and smelt amazing and that was, amazing.

The only downside is that after a few uses, my hair started to feel drier and it was difficult to comb through once i'd rinsed it. I'm hoping this was just a one off because i don't think i can live without the smell of milkshake on my head. It contains fresh strawberries, honey water, vanilla pod infusion and fresh oranges. SO SO many amazing smells combined.

It's £10.95 for 240g and has lasted me so long. I don't mind splashing out on my hair! Have a browse of it on their website here!

Have you tried any Lush Conditioners?

  1. That is weird how it made your hair dry after a few uses. A shame because this smells great and is a lovely conditioner otherwise. I used it years ago but didn't repurchase because of the price!
