Tapas & Cocktails at Revolution De Cuba | Sheffield

Hands up if you love tapas! I was recently invited down to sample the menu and cocktails at Revolution De Cuba in Sheffield City Centre and i have to say i'm very impressed - the food and drinks were provided to us free of charge but all opinions are my own and i'll let you into a secret..... I loved it. I've never been much of a tapas person (I know, shoot me now) but after this i'm definitely a convert! I was usually more of a main meal kinda girl rather than little bits of a few dishes - boy how that has changed.

I met up with some of my favourite Sheffield Bloggers and we headed on in. It was a Sunday late afternoon but the atmosphere was great. It wasn't too busy but it wasn't a ghost town either. Tables were full, music was on and there was a murmur of chat around the restaurant.

Now, one thing i love about Revolution De Cuba is the cocktails. You can always count on them to be super fancy and super tasty. I went for the Mad Hatter cocktail which came in an enormous glass and the cutest decorations. Once we all had our drinks it was time to browse the food menu. I was immediately drawn to the main meals but something kept bringing my attention back to the tapas. We all decided to try different tapas dishes and I'd heard good things about them so instead went for Calamari, Creamy Cajun Mushrooms and Chicken Quesadillas. We had tortillas and the biggest olives i've ever seen to start us off with!

The mushrooms were some of the best i've ever tasted and came with amazing bread and melted cheese that you could dip into the mushroom sauce. The calamari was a little bland unless i dipped it in sauce - it wasn't terrible but i've had much tastier calamari. The chicken quesadillas were my favourite though - packed with flavour and no where near enough of them for my liking! I'm half tempted to return to order ALL the quesadillas. The tapas we all ordered looked amazing and all of our dishes barely fit on the table.

On finishing our tapas the dessert menu's were brought out and i couldn't resist having a cheeky Mocha, which also came with a small chocolate brownie which i devoured instantly. I'm not usually a dessert person so this was the perfect end to the meal for me.

We quickly took a few photos of the beautiful interior, full of lights and pictures and cute decor and made our way home.

Have you tried the food and cocktails at Revolution De Cuba?
