The Body Shop - New Dare to Mask Face Mask Range

A couple of weeks ago I attended The Body Shop UK #highstreetdarestomask event at their Meadowhall store. I had a thoroughly enjoyable time which you can read all about here. During the event we got to sample and try out the brand new face mask range which wasn't available to buy for a few days yet. If you know me, you'll know i get far too over excited about face masks and will pretty much buy them even if i don't need any more. I'm obsessed. They are 100% vegetarian as well!

So what are these new face masks i hear you ask? Well, read on;

Chinese Ginseng & Rice

This mask clarifies skin and the rice exfoliates at the same time. It's not a harsh exfoliating mask, there seems to be just the right texture to clarify skin as well as get rid of dull patches giving you brighter looking skin. It has a slight smell of ginger which is lovely towards the colder end of the year!

Amazonian Acai

This is the energising mask so perfect for those mornings when skin needs a little pick me up. It contains Guarana seed extract to exfoliate and fairtrade Babbassu oil to sooth skin. This mask makes sleepy skin look more awake, so you can fake it until you make it!

British Rose

This mask plumps skin and contains Rosehip oil and real rose petals! This mask gives a super plumping effect to the skin. It also contains aloe vera which definitely soothes and leaves your skin feeling more moisturised and dewy! Great for when the colder weather sets in.

Himalayan Charcoal Mask

This mask is great for oily skin as it absorbs oil and leaves the skin smooth and free of impurities - It might be my personal favourite! The green tea leaves exfoliate the skin and the charcoal leaves it feeling super cleansed!

Ethiopian Honey

This mask is packed full of honey and nourishes skin as well as replenishing moisture. The smell is amazing but not too overpowering and is great for when your skin is craving to look more rested. The fairtrade honey leaves your skin so soft and smelling great!

All of these masks are formulated with no parabens, paraffin, silicone or mineral oil and are all 100% vegetarian. You can use each one 2-3 times per week and you can even mix and match by applying a different mask to different parts of your skin depending on it's needs. I tend to go for Himalayan Charcoal on my T Zone and British Rose plumping mask on the rest! The masks are for a range of skin types from normal to oily to dry dull skin so there's a mask for everyone!

You can pick these up from The Body Shop in store or online from £15, this range is out now!

Which one is your favourite?

  2. I have the Chinese Ginseng & Rice one and it is a godsend for my skin, it feels so soft afterwards and it is quite a soft exfoliator compared to others I have tried. The best part though is that it doesn't irritate my skin as I have very sensitive skin.
